Best Places in Canada to Go on a ATV Ride

“O Canada, we ATV all over thee”—that’s the true anthem for every patriotic ATVer.
And Canada has some of the best places to ride ATVs in North America. From the rugged mountains of British Columbia and Alberta to the less rugged but no less scenic trails of the east, Canada has got it all.
Canada is a beautiful country, no question about it. But that makes the problem of deciding where to go for an ATV ride all the more difficult. There are so many trails that it gets a little bewildering.
Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Here’s a little list of twenty of the best places to ride an ATV in Canada, guaranteed to ensure hours of off-road entertainment.
1. Seguin Trail, Ontario
Seguin Trail, one of Ontario’s many off-road trails, is one of the best places to ride ATVs.
It’s part of the Park-to-Park Trail, and runs east of Highway 400 to Elmsdale, where it connects with Highway 11. The Seguin Trail follows the old Grand Trunk Railway and is rugged enough to be a whole lot of fun for dedicated ATVers.
2. The Voyageur Multi-Use Trail System, Ontario
Situated near the Quebec border, outside of Mattawa in Ontario, the Voyageur Multi-use Trail System is a great trail network to ride an ATV. It features plenty of rugged terrains, with interesting trails and enough topographic relief to keep it exciting.
3. Orofino Mountain, British Columbia
British Columbia is a beautiful province. From the coastal fjords to the rugged Rockies, there’s plenty to see and do here.
Orofino Mountain, located in the Okanagan Valley, has many excellent ATV trails. They run past four lakes—Sawmill, Taylor, Ripley and Madden—and ultimately take you to the abandoned Orofino mines.
4. Deer Lake to Bishop’s Falls, Newfoundland
From the West Coast, we come to the East Coast.
This ATV trail lets you take in all the grandeur and beauty that the Maritime Provinces have to offer. It begins at Deer Lake, near an old Cold War radar station, crosses Grand Lake, shoots you through a quarry, and plops you out at Bishop’s Falls.
It’s beautiful scenery and rugged trails the whole way, and at 183 km, it’s a full-day experience.
5. Duck Mountain Trails, Manitoba
If you’re a serious ATVer, and you want to get off the beaten path, consider the trails in Duck Mountain Provincial Park in Manitoba.

6. Elliott Lake, Ontario

Now you’re getting into some serious ATVing.
